• Chicken burgers are considered a tasty change and healthy change from the usual beef burger.

• Oats are incredibly nutritious and will add a crunchy taste to your burger. Try to incorporate oats into your diet as much as you can.

Chicken Burger Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 100g oats
  • 500g minced chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Condiments of choice (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, pickles… etc.)

 

Preparation Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200C
  2. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil, and gently fry the onions, garlic and the oats. Set aside to cool
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well using your hands, and shape into 8 patties
  4. In a saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon oil, and sear the burgers on each side
  5. Transfer to baking sheet and cook in the oven for 10 – 15 minutes
  6. Serve in hamburger buns, with condiments of your choice
