Granola Bars Recipe Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups whole grain oats
  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons flax seed
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin seed
  • Chocolate (optional)

 

Preparation Method

  1. In a fry pan, melt butter, honey and brown sugar together over medium heat. Bring to boil. Reduce the heat and cook for 2 minutes. Add vanilla and stir
  2. Mix oats, rice cereal, flax and pumpkin seeds
  3. Poor liquid mixture over dry ingredients and mix well to combine
  4. Poor into baking pan (12×9) and press down on mixture to fill whole pan
  5. Set in fridge until firm (approximately 1 hour)
  6. Cut into bars
  7. Dip in melted chocolate
